OUR HISTORY
In 2009 Produtankay was founded, and came incredibly fast to success. We worked very hard and determined to create a high quality Golden Berry.
2013 was a crucial year for us. This year, we became the Global Gap Winner in plants and agriculture. Global Gap is an international certificate assuring the constant quality of groceries and enabling the exportation to Europe.
In 2018, we built our first modern office and production site, including a gigantic cultivation area with the possibility to plant Golden Berries on four fields and one greenhouse complex.
2019, we wrote history as the first Ecuadorian company exporting Golden Berries to the United States of America.
In 2023, we wrote history. We became the first Physalis company in the world, producing 100% CO2 neutral. This necessary step is not just beneficial for us but for all people in Ecuador. It is the right way towards a sustainable future.
